Acer Consumer Notebook Growth in Chile Closes 2014 on High Note

Acer achieves 25.1% market share in Q4 and peaks at 27.9% in December

TAIPEI, TAIWAN. Following a steady growing momentum in Chile’s consumer notebook market, Acer concluded the final quarter and month of 2014 on high notes. According to data by GfK Retail and Technology, Acer achieved 25.1% market share in Q4 2014, its highest in the last two years and up 5.6% quarter-on-quarter. In the month of December, Acer broke its personal record of 27.9% in market share.

Acer attributes its success in Chile largely to the partnership with NetNow, the online electronics store which carries Acer notebooks, desktops, all-in-one PCs, tablets, smartphones, computer monitors, and servers/storages. In addition, Acer offers a best-in-class service strategy including fast repair times and software warranties, making it one of the most trusted brands in the market. In Q4, Acer ranked No. 2 in Chile’s consumer notebook market.

Separately, Acer also partners with NetNow to offer up to 60,000 computers and on-site service for the Chile Education Ministry's “I Select My PC" Program for outstanding students from economically vulnerable schools.
