Acer Garners 7 Prestigious Red Dot Awards for Product Design in 2017

TAIPEI, TAIWAN - Seven Acer products have been honored with a Red Dot Award: Product Design 2017. They include the Predator 21 X curved screen gaming notebook as well as the Acer Switch 3 2-in-1 notebook, Spin 7 convertiblenotebook, Chromebook 11 N7, Chromebook Spin 11, TravelMate Spin B1 convertiblenotebook and H7850 4K projector.

The winning Acer products were selected among 5,500 entries from 54 countries by an independent panel of 39 experts. The products were assessed according to criteria such as degree of innovation, formal quality, functionality and ecological compatibility.

Predator 21 X Curved Screen Gaming Notebook
As the world’s first notebook to offer a curved screen, it delivers a truly immersive gaming experience, especially when combined with the notebook’s eye-tracking technology from Tobii. The curved screen also features NVIDIA® G-SYNC™ technology, ensuring smooth and sharp gameplay. Earlier this year the Predator 21 X was awarded the 2017 Taiwan Excellence Award Gold, the top prize of the competition.

Acer Switch 3 2-in-1 Notebook
The Switch 3 2-in-1 notebook runs on Intel® Pentium® and Intel® Celeron® processors, and features a 12.2-inch display that is designed to deliver incredible precision and a responsive 10-point touch experience. Its sleek metallic top cover has a distinctive yet subtle design with complementary etched edging.


Acer Spin 7 Convertible Notebook
The ultra-thin Acer Spin 7 convertible notebook is thinner than a DVD case with a 0.43-inch all-aluminum unibody design. Diamond-cut edges provide a slender, clean profile and its 14-inch Full HD touch display’s narrow border maximizes viewing area. Durable Corning® Gorilla® Glass 4 makes the display tough and helps protect against scratches, while reducing reflections for better visibility outdoors.


Acer Chromebook 11 N7

Acer Chromebook Spin 11

The Chromebook Spin 11 (R751T) will provide additional capabilities thanks to support for Android apps via the Google Play™ Store out-of-the-box.


Acer TravelMate Spin B1 Convertible Notebook
Acer latest Windows convertible notebook for education customers, the TravelMate Spin B1 was designed with durability features to ensure maximum uptime and help reduce maintenance. Acer Announces Net Income for Q2’25 at NT$1.08 Billion, Up 110.6% Quarter-on-quarter
TAIPEI (August 7, 2025) Acer Inc. (TWSE: 2353) announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2025. Despite the influence from exchange rates and tariffs, consolidated revenues reached NT$66.53 billion, up 8.5% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) and flattish year-over-year (YoY); gross profits reached NT$6.73 billion with 10.1% margin and 3.9% growth QoQ; operating income was NT$734 million with 1.1% margin; net income[1] was NT$1.08 billion, up 110.6% QoQ with earnings-per-share NT$0.36.
