Acer Named as CES 2016 Innovations Award Honoree for Three Innovative Products

Acer today announced that it has been named a CES 2016 Innovations Award Honoree for three innovative products, including the Predator 8 gaming tablet, Predator Z850 gaming projector and Revo Build modular PC. Products entered in this prestigious program are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers and members of the trade media to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting-edge consumer electronics products across 27 product categories.

The Predator 8 gaming tablet provides an immersive gaming experience on a highly portable tablet. A unique array of four front-facing speakers with virtual surround sound, powerful haptic motors, and a brilliant display work together to satisfy gamers. The Predator Z850 is a cutting-edge 16:6 ultra-wide laser gaming projector. It features the convenience of mirror-less ultra-short-throw technology, 3,000 lumens brightness, innovative laser illumination, and three unique gaming display modes. Finally, the Revo Build is a mini PC that is easily customized with blocks that provide different functions such as extra storage, speakers and microphones, or even wireless charging. The blocks connect precisely via magnetic pogo pins that make assembling a computer as easy as playing with toy blocks.

“Acer is delighted to have been recognized by the highly respected Consumer Technology Association for excellence across three product categories,” said Maarten Schellekens, Vice President of Global Marketing and Branding, Acer. “These prestigious awards are a testament to Acer’s product innovation, design excellence and superior functionality that give our customers an outstanding experience with their computing devices.”

The prestigious CES Innovation Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™, the producer of CES 2016, the global gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies, and have been recognizing achievements in product design and engineering since 1976.

Entries are evaluated on their engineering, aesthetic and design qualities, intended use/function and user value, how the design and innovation of the product directly compares to other products in the marketplace and unique/novel features present. Products chosen as CES Innovations Honorees reflect innovative design and engineering in some of the most cutting-edge tech products and services coming to market.

CES 2016 Innovation Honoree products are featured on CESweb.org/Innovation, which lists product categories, as well as each product name, manufacturer information, description, photo and URL.
