Acer President of Pan Asia Pacific Operations, Oliver Ahrens, Steps Down

Acer announces that Oliver Ahrens, Senior Corporate Vice President and Pan Asia Pacific Operations of Acer, has decided to leave the company. With his departure, Jason Chen, Acer Corporate President and CEO, will be acting as head of the pan Asia Pacific operations effective today.

Mr. Ahrens is leaving Acer after 24 years of outstanding contribution in various regional operations of the company since joining in October 1991. Starting in Germany, Mr. Ahrens went on to serve in increasing positions of responsibilities and leadership in China, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and Pan Asia Pacific regions. He was also instrumental in laying the ground works for a solid business operation in China during his tenure as head of Acer China from 2009 to 2011.

Acer would like to thank Mr. Ahrens for more than two decades of service and respects his decision to leave Acer.
