Acer Reaches No. 1 in Canadian Notebook PC Market in November and December

Acer captured the No. 1 spot for notebook PCs in Canada by taking more than 26% market share in both November and December 2014. This was mainly attributable to increased consumer purchasing during the holiday shopping season. The achievement also marked Acer’s highest market share in the last 18 months in Canada.

In addition, according to data by The NPD Group, the company showed strong year-on-year in the category during Q4 2014 with 8.3% increase and reached the No. 2 position. During Q4, Acer was the leading player in Chromebooks, a sub-category of the mobile PC market, with more than 50% market share.
