TAIPEI, TAIWAN (May 10, 2019) Acer Inc. (TWSE: 2353) announced today its consolidated revenues for April at NT$14.0 billion, down 14% year-on-year (YoY). For year-to-April, consolidated revenues were NT$68.68 billion, down 3.3% YoY.
The results were impacted by the global CPU supply shortage which improved in April but still presents a challenge on core business operations, and also due to the maturing gaming hardware segment.
However, the multiple business engines established continued to strengthen and gain momentum. They include the subsidiaries Acer Cyber Security and AOPEN, the gadget business, and others which achieved double-digit revenue growth YoY.
