Acer Reports August Consolidated Revenues of NT$27.27 Billion, Highest in Nearly Five Years

 

TAIPEI, TAIWAN (September 10, 2020) Acer Inc. (TWSE: 2353) announced its revenues for August at NT$27.27 billion, up 34.9% year-on-year (YoY) and up 17.4% month-on-month, achieving a record high in nearly five years (since September 2015). Revenues for year-to-August reached NT$165.0 billion, up 11.2% YoY.

Among the fast growing businesses in August, highlights include Chromebooks with 59.6% YoY growth, gaming line[1] with 87.8% YoY growth, and monitors with 49.4% YoY growth. In regional operations, revenues for Pan America and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) grew more than 50% YoY, while Pan Asia Pacific resumed growth due to the gradual opening up of economic activities.

Under Acer’s dual transformation strategy the core business has remained solid, while the new business engines have also contributed significantly: Acer e-Enabling Service Business grew 26.3% YoY, GadgeTek grew 129.6% YoY, and Weblink International grew 47.5% YoY in revenues.
