Acer Sells 70k of Liquid Leap Active Wearables in the U.S. in 24 Hours

TAIPEI, TAIWAN - Acer Liquid Leap Active wearable debuts in the U.S. and sells 70,000 units via television shopping network in 24 hours

Acer’s debut of its Liquid Leap Active wearables in the U.S. saw 70,000 units and 30,000 interchangeable bands sold via a leading television shopping network in a 24-hour promotion on December 13. Acer offered attractive deals with a 2-pack of Liquid Leap Active wearables and a 3-pack of interchangeable bands. This latest sales success is the continuation of a string of attractive deals for holiday season shoppers.

The home shopping retailer presenters highlighted:
“Now the apps… you cannot believe that for this price that all these features are built in!”
“I’ve never been able to sleep with a watch on in my life until I got this one…It’s so light weight… I sleep with this on all the time.”
“It’s all there on your wrist. You can tell we are excited!”

First unveiled in June at Computex Taipei, the ultra-lightweight Acer Liquid Leap Active wearable is designed for socially and physically active consumers. It can be operated by intuitive touch screen control, and allows consumers to track daily activities and exercise, as well as record their sleep time. Timely notifications are sent when pre-set goals are met, which can encourage users to keep moving and stay fit.

The interchangeable bands allow users to choose the color or pattern to match their mood or outfit. The notifications feature can inform the wearer of incoming calls, texts, and social media messages, and also provide meeting reminders. The Liquid Leap Active can also double as a remote control for music playback on their smartphone so that the wearer can take control of their music without even touching their phone.
